Manuscripts can only be submitted in electronic form through the ScholarOne site: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/hijm. If this is your first time submitting an article to JMM, you will need to create an account there first.


 

Author Guidelines

Submitted papers should be no longer than 5,000 words excluding tables and figures. An abstract of the paper, up to 250 words,should accompany the article. A brief bibliographical note should be supplied on a separate file. The title page should include the title of the manuscript, and names and affiliations of all authors (include addresses, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses). Only the title page should contain identifying information. Submissions containing authors information in "main file" will not be considered.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published nor is it before another journal for consideration; or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor.
  2. All identifying author information has been removed from the submission file. This includes any author names, affiliations, and/or other identifying information.
  3. The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point Times New Roman font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses);
  4. Tables and figures (illustrations) should not be embedded in the text,but should be included as files. A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included.
  5. The text adheres to the bibliographic requirements of the APA Publication Manual

Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher.
