Abstract: In the new media, the scarce resource of digital economy shifts from the production side to the communication side. While the manufacturing process (where"form" is given to matter, to organization which we call"implementation I") is accomplished in ever less time by ever more suppliers in ever better quality, the communicating process (where"form" is given to understanding, to brains, which we call"implementation II") remains costly or becomes even more expensive. For the design of digital products, of e-business, the strategic management must focus its attention on the communication side. The new digital industrialisation is materializing into a new media industry, the value chain is being tremendously shortened, and new digital information products as Distributed Virtual Environments will dominate the basket of the future.
